2020 Reassessment Update

This afternoon, Wampler-Eanes Appraisal Group released overall reassessment data for the County. Real estate values in Botetourt County have increased an average of 9.32% since 2016 when the last general property reassessment occurred. During this time, on average, residential real estate increased 11%, commercial properties increased 10%, and agricultural properties increased 5%. This is in (more…)

County Prepares for Major Investments

County’s Financial Position is Strong

Daleville, VA – At its regular meeting in December, the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors received its annual audit report from Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates. Burn Ban Lifted

Daleville, VA — On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors lifted the burn ban in the County. Craig-Botetourt and Botetourt County Awarded Grant for Broadband Deployment

Fincastle, VA – Governor Ralph Northam has announced the Craig-Botetourt Electric Cooperative (CBEC) and Botetourt County as the recipients of a 2019 Virginia Telecommunications Initiative (VATI) Grant from Virginia’s Department of Housing and Community Development.
