VDOT: Rt. 220 (Botetourt Road) Bridge Replacement Project


Find out about the proposed plans to replace two narrow bridges on Route 220 (Botetourt Road). Both bridges are located near Gala on the section of Route 220 starting 0.239 mile north of Route 43 and extending to 0.630 mile south of Route 694 (Gala Loop Road).
Review the project information and the National Environmental Policy Act document in the form of a Programmatic Categorical Exclusion at VDOT’s Salem District Office located at 731 Harrison Ave. in Salem, 540-387-5353, 1-800-FOR-ROAD (367-7623), TTY/TDD 711. Please call ahead to ensure the availability of appropriate personnel to answer your questions.
If your concerns cannot be satisfied, VDOT is willing to hold a public hearing. You may request that a public hearing be held by sending a written request to Mr. Jay Crumpacker, Virginia Department of Transportation, 731 Harrison Avenue, Salem, VA 24153 on or prior to February 12, 2015.
If a request for a public hearing is received, notice of date, time and place of the hearing will be posted.
